thank you for your service!

If you are a first responder that received a card and wanted to know more about having the peace that God provides, you came to the right place. What you will read here comes from a heart that is for you and your family. You carry a lot on your shoulders and we are grateful for what you do.

IS THERE REAL AND LASTING PEACE IN LIFE?

There are two kinds of peace:

External Peace

This is the peace that comes because things have calmed down. We all seek it in some way, looking for the next vacation or the quiet evening at home. Truly, it is nice when there is peace at your workplace and calm in your home. But that's not always the case. Sometimes, we face hard things. We are disappoint by life and the circumstances around us are not conducive to peace. It is at these times, we need internal peace.

Internal Peace

Peace within your heart and mind, or what some might call peace in your soul, is different than peace in your circumstances. In fact, if you are at peace within yourself, you will be better able to face the challenges of life. But how can someone find that inner peace? The answer: Jesus promised to provide it.

John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

finding peace with god

We cannot experience the peace that Jesus provides until we come to peace with God. The truth is, until we come to peace with Him, we are at odds with God.

Where we stand...

Many people find themselves in an internal struggle with God. He is reaching out to them in love, but they push His hand away. Too busy or disinterested, they ignore God and what He has done for them. He gave Jesus, His Son, as a sacrifice for them. (More on this later.)

Life without God...

What if we continue to ignore God? What if we push Him away? We might even convince ourselves that He doesn't exist. If we live our lives without Him, what difference will it make. Well, we will miss His salvation. He offers to forgive all of our sins if we will come to Jesus. Jesus said, "...ye think ye have eternal life: and...ye will not come to me, that ye might have life." (John 5:39-40) Ultimately, by rejecting His loving offer of salvation, we are destined to live without Him in eternity in Hell.

What about you? Have you accepted His offer? Have you found peace with God through Jesus Christ?

it is time to meet

the prince of peace:

Jesus Christ

Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: ...and his name shall be called ...The Prince of Peace.

Matthew 1:21, 23 - 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 11:28 - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Romans 5:1 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Through Jesus you can have peace with God. God who is righteous and holy forgives your sin because Jesus took your punishment. The price has been paid. Jesus made peace for you. He is waiting for you to call out to Him. He is listening.

the peace of God

When we have peace with God, the we can experience the peace of God. The peace that God gives comes through a relationship with Him. It is a peace that the Bible describes as "passing all understanding." It is a calm in the soul because we are no longer at odds with God. He is now our Heavenly Father through Jesus, our Savior.

It is something that even an unbeliever can see (see the video). It is real. It is lasting.

Philippians 4:7 - And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Do you have that peace? You can.
